Lover's Quarrel

My suspicions about Helga are correct – she has been unfaithful. And with Rodrick, that buffoon of a criminal! They aim to take my fortune, so I will lead Helga into a trap. I placed an advert in The Pike Weekly, imploring her to meet for a drink in the private chambers of the boarding house where we first met. There she will find what she cannot resist: a cup of wine laced with poison. I shall be done with that wretched woman!

Rodrick was a fool and has exposed our affair. Florian, my simple-minded husband, must die so Rodrick and I can finally be at peace! I responded to the advert he obviously put in The Pike Weekly and know he plans to kill me. I will meet him at that chamber with a dagger in my bodice!
