A Rotten Core

Something from below has awoken. An evil, a sickness... corruption from within. With shaking hands, I loosened a cobblestone from the dry basement wall, revealing a festering mold. The source of the rot... below all this time... I buried it under rubble and ash, but it shan't suffice... The blighted root lies too deep to dig out. It'll likely sprout again, and again, and again...
